Rules and privacy

Share only your own work

Patterns and photos must be yours, or you must have the right to share them. No copies of other designers’ patterns, no photos of other people’s makes.

Keep it crafty and kind

Crochet and knitting patterns only. Nothing offensive, nothing unsafe, no spam or unrelated adverts. Every pattern is checked automatically before it goes live; anything that doesn’t pass waits for a person to look at it.

Reports and removal

Every pattern page has a report button. Reported patterns are reviewed, and patterns reported as unsafe, or reported several times, are hidden straight away while we check. We may remove anything that breaks these rules.

Your rights

You keep the copyright in your pattern and photos. By sharing, you let HazelLoop show them on the site and in posts that link back to your page. If you tick the Instagram box, we may also share your photos on HazelLoop’s Instagram with credit. You can edit or delete your patterns, or close your account, at any time from your dashboard.

Your data

We keep your email to sign you in, your public profile and your patterns. Signing in uses one strictly necessary cookie that only works on the community pages. Photos are re-saved without their camera data (including location). Closing your account deletes your patterns and removes your details.

No sales through HazelLoop

HazelLoop doesn’t sell patterns or handle money for designers. If your pattern is paid, link to where you sell it. Yarn links on pattern pages may earn HazelLoop a commission.
